CT Technologist

Overview

• CT role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract.
• Day shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week.
• Floating is within the CT department and under the same manager.
• Unit has 8 CT scanners across campuses.

Required Qualifications

• State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License.
• ARRT(CT)(R).
• AHA BLS.
• Level 1 trauma center experience.
• Proficiency with computers/computer systems, including basic navigation and use of email applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively and multi-task.
• Ability to deal with difficult or challenging customer interactions and escalate to management as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience.
• GE equipment experience.

Clinical Duties and Procedures

• Perform quality CT exams and all procedures offered by the department.
• Procedures include Neuro, Body, MSK, CTAs, IR procedures such as biopsies, ablations, and drain removals, 3D reformats, colonography, enterography, urograms, trauma scans, and dual energy work.
• Perform QA.
• Help ensure the department is stocked and in compliance with standards.
• Use GE equipment.

Schedule Notes

• Call is required.
• Holidays are required as needed and scheduled.

Training

• 6-week orientation for outside candidates.
• Assigned preceptor support.
• IV line education, phone numbers, and department-specific processes are included.
• Mid-point check at 3 weeks.
