Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- Travel assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- 14-week contract
- 3x12 hour shifts per week, 0600-1830
- Every other weekend rotation
Role Summary
- Performs respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
- Work includes therapeutic treatment and diagnostic testing, medication administration to the cardiopulmonary system, ventilatory support, bronchopulmonary clearance, breathing exercises, patient education, CPR, and maintenance of natural and artificial airways
- Duties are performed in critical care and non-critical care areas for patients of all ages
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Associate degree in respiratory care
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care
- Bachelor's degree for Respiratory Care
- American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC) membership
