Intermediate Care - Surgical/Trauma RN

  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12s
  • Shift time: 19:00–07:00

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
  • Intermediate Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in Charge roles
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization care
  • Central line care and management
  • PICC line management
  • Management of cardiac drips without titration
  • Heparin protocols
  • Traumatic brain injury care
  • Care of ventilated patients

Skills / Clinical Experience

  • Telemetry monitoring on the unit
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
  • Central line care/management
  • Peripheral line care/management
  • PICC line management
  • Manage cardiac drips, including titration
  • Heparin protocols
  • Traumatic Brain Injury care
  • Care of ventilated patient
  • External CPAP/BIPAP
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
