RN Med Surg

Overview

  • Travel RN assignment in Charleston, South Carolina
  • Unit: 7th med surg
  • 48-bed unit
  • 13-week contract
  • 48 hours per week
  • Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, overtime available
  • Floating policy: PRN

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in South Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg experience within the last year
  • BLS

Unit Details

  • Patient ratio: 1:7, aiming for 1:6
  • Unit staffing includes 9 nurses, 5 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary
  • Uses Meditech
  • Equipment includes EKG, bladder scanner, and Ultra light for IV insertion

Clinical Focus

  • Med surg patient experience
  • Wound care
  • I/O caths
  • Trach care

Additional Notes

  • Required uniform: navy blue or white scrubs
