Required Qualifications

• ACLS
• BLS Certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (AHA) Certificate
• 1 year of experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilation including NIV with Hamilton C1
• Experience with all types of inhalation therapy, EKGs, ABGs, and ISTAT
• Able to support high risk C-sections
• Able to assist with intubation, not independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic experience

Clinical Areas Covered

• ER
• SPCU
• OB with high risk C-Sections
• Stress Lab
• PFT lab
• EEG lab

Patient Population

• Adults mostly
• Pediatrics, typically stabilized until transfer
• Neonates up to 28 days

Duties

• Draw ABGs
• Perform EKGs with ISTAT
• Set up Holter monitors

Schedule

• Days and nights
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Some block scheduling may be available
• Holiday coverage as assigned if on a block schedule

Additional Notes

• Outpatient training/competency depends on contract length and availability
• Housing should be confirmed in the area; it may be challenging to find or expensive
• No call or standby call requirement
• Professional scrubs in any color
• Equipment includes Hamilton C1s, T1s, and ResMed home CPAP/BIPAP
• Daytime hospitalist/intensivist coverage is in house; night coverage is on-call
• Department orientation includes 1 shadowing shift
