Labor and Delivery
Location
- Coon Rapids, Minnesota
Job details
- Travel/contract role
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- First-time travelers accepted
- Every other weekend required
- Will float as needed
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Local candidates not accepted within a 100-mile radius
- Pending license accepted
- Ideally no more than 5 days of requested time off
Experience
- 2 years of labor and delivery experience with postpartum experience required
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Minnesota
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association
- Sterile vaginal exam experience
- External fetal monitoring experience
- Internal fetal monitoring experience
- IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration experience
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin)
- Experience managing and administering epidural anesthesia
- Post Partum experience
Unit information
- Mother-baby center
- RNs work in labor and postpartum
- Average daily census: 8 deliveries/day and 15 postpartum patients/day

- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- No on-call requirement
- Epic charting
- Acute care teaching hospital with Level 2 trauma designation
- 258 staffed beds
- No parking fees
