Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Indianapolis, Indiana
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Every other weekend required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1.5 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NBRC
Work Expectations
- Floating required between Methodist, University, Fishers, and Morgan locations
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Written confirmation that the traveler is comfortable with the every other weekend requirement
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Unit competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- References from recent employment
- Employment application with all gaps explained
- Skills checklist within 12 months of start
- Background check and required exclusion/sanction screenings
- Immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and flu
- HIPAA/orientation safety acknowledgement and facility-specific onboarding documents
Notes
- Mandatory RRT modules apply for this assignment and must be completed before orientation
- On-site PAPR is automatically approved at Methodist and University locations
