Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Nampa, Idaho.
• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
• Department: L&D | RN.
• Role includes L&D, Post-Partum, OR Circulation / Triage, and mother baby coverage.

Required Qualifications

• RN license.
• 3+ years of experience in L&D.
• Experience with Post-Partum.
• Experience with OR Circulation / Triage.
• Experience attending deliveries and completing 1 hour of newborn care.
• Experience with triage.
• Experience circulating C/S.
• Experience providing Postpartum Couplet Care.
• Experience with magnesium.
• Ability to titrate drips.
• ACLS.
• BLS.
• NRP.
• STABLE.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge nurse experience.
• Mother baby experience.
• 1 year of mother baby experience is preferred.

Unit Details

• 14-bed L&D unit; patients stay in the same room.
• 2 OR suites for C-sections.
• 4 triage beds.
• Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards.
• Common titratable or set-rate drips include Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, and occasional insulin drips.
• No tele techs on the unit.
• EFM system: Centricity.
• OB hospitalist and Neonatal NP are in house 24/7.
• Anesthesia is in house 24/7.
• RT is available for troubleshooting.

Scheduling

• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Resource and charge coverage runs 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM.
• No call required.
• No minimum weekend requirement.
• No set holiday requirement for travel RNs.
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
• Cannot work 6 shifts in a row.

Floating

• May float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley sites in Meridian, Nampa, and Boise in primary skill set (L&D/Mother Baby) or as a sitter.
• Floating is for full shifts only.

Orientation

• 4 shifts of unit orientation.
• Orientation includes C/S, labor, and Postpartum.
• Compliance and EPIC Curio assignments must be completed before start.

Additional Notes

• Hospital-issued scrubs are required.
• No acrylic or gel nails allowed.
• First-time traveler is accepted.
