RN II - Tele Float Pool - MedSurg/CV/Neuro

Role

Travel RN for an MS/Tele float pool with frequent floating between campuses and units.

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active AZ license or compact
• 2+ years of current tele experience
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting, with 2 max attempts
• Must pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
• COVID vaccine required, or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD

Unit Details

• Float scope includes Tele and MedSurg units, with floating to ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and holding areas such as Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or hallway
• Frequent floating between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Tele units include CV Tele B3A and A3 Neuro
• MedSurg units include MedSurg C5 and MedSurg B2C

Clinical Details

• CV Tele B3A: 32 beds, centralized tele, RN must be able to interpret EKGs, no pediatrics, 15 y/o and older
• A3 Neuro: 28 beds, centralized tele, RN must be able to interpret EKGs, no ICP monitoring
• MedSurg C5: 32 beds, GE Monitors with central monitoring station tech to read
• MedSurg B2C: 29 beds, GE Monitors with central monitoring station tech to read

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 7-7
• Nights
• Every other weekend on Tele units
• MedSurg units require 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• First to float on MedSurg B2C

Additional Notes

• Travelers must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
• Charge nurse does not take patients on listed units
• RT 24/7 and Pharmacy 24/7 are available on listed units
