IMU RN
Overview
- 13-week contract
- Bridgeport, West Virginia
- 12-hour nights
- 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- IMU
- 18 beds
- Typical step-down type patients
- Common diagnoses include post MI with sheath pull, ADHS, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Ability to titrate drips
- Experience with telemetry
- Experience with BiPap and Cpap
Unit Expectations
- Ratios are 1:3
- Tele is on all patients, and RNs read strips
- One PCT per shift
- Charge nurse and house supervisor are available; under normal circumstances, charge does not take a team
- Weekend schedule is every other weekend
- Holiday schedule is about every other holiday
- No call or standby
- Float PRN
- Unit orientation is per the unit
Drips
- Nitroglycerine up to 150 mcg/kg/min
- Neo up to 100 mcg/min
- Cardene up to 10 mg/hr
Dress Code
- Royal scrubs
- Undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black
