L&D/PP/MB RN

Overview

• 13-week contract
• Weston, Wisconsin
• 12-hour shifts; days and nights, mostly days
• 36 hours per week
• Unit: L&D/PP/MB
• 11 total beds on the unit
• 1 OR suite on the unit for C-sections
• 1 triage bed
• About 320 births per year

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• NRP
• LDRP experience
• C-sections experience, including recovery unless under general anesthesia
• Must follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios
• Must be able to titrate epidurals
• Must be willing to clock in and out at the facility
• If previously worked for Marshfield, must have an end date at least 6 months before submission

Schedule

• Self-scheduling
• No call
• May pick up extra shifts when available
• Weekend requirement: every third
• Holiday requirement: every other
• Call shift requirements apply
• 2-shift unit orientation

Unit Details

• Common patient types include vaginal births, c-sections, inductions, special care nursery patients, and hysterectomy cases
• No antepartum patients
• Charge nurse and house supervisor are present
• Charge nurse takes an assignment, but agency staff will not be charge nurse
• No nurse aides or surgical techs on the unit
• OB is in house 24/7
• Anesthesia is in house 24/7
• RT is in house to assist with special care nursery babies
• No tele/monitor techs on the unit
• EFM system: Novii, GE

Floating

• May float to MS and PCU as a helping hand, CNA, or sitter only
• Will not take a patient load or work outside scope of practice

Other

• Hospital-supplied scrubs
• Local candidates within 80 miles are subject to reduced client rates
