Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Travel assignment in Pasadena, Texas
Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
3-bed unit
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
RCIS
Cath Lab Tech Certification
Previous cath lab experience

Unit Details

Staffed with 8 full-time staff and 3 PRN staff
Day shift staffing depends on case load, with 3-4 staff per room and at least 1 tech per room
Night shift is call only, with 2 RN and 1 tech each night
Typical procedures include Heart Caths, CTO, high risk PCI, ablations, devices, peripheral angio with/without intervention, ECMO cannulation, and thrombectomy
Floating area: none
On-call starts after cases end daily
Weekend on-call is 24 hours at a time from Friday through Sunday
