Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Fremont, California
Specialty: Surgical Services
Shift: Day, 4x10 hours, 6:55 AM to 5:25 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (2 years of experience)
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
NBSTSA

Preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing for RN positions

Job Duties

Prepares the sterile field for surgery
Sets up sterile instruments
Assists surgeons with gowning, gloving, and draping patients
Passes instruments and supplies during surgery
Holds retractors and anticipates surgeons’ needs
Supports department operations through supply distribution, equipment maintenance, testing, and setup
May perform specific procedures and help orient other staff
