Operating Room (OR)

Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in Glens Falls, New York.
• 13-week contract.
• Afternoons shift.
• Primarily a circulating role.
• Patient population: Pediatric-Adult.
• Operating Room coverage includes 14 rooms and Labor & Delivery for C-sections.
• The unit provides care in all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology.
• Average procedures per day: 50.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 2+ years of current OR experience.
• OR experience within the last year.
• One completed travel assignment.
• Travel experience required.
• Experience with Epic.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Scrub and circulate experience required.
• Float experience to vascular, ortho, trauma, gen surg, Robot, urology, and ENT.
• Vascular Surgery experience.
• Orthopedic Surgery experience.
• Trauma experience.
• Urology experience.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required.
• Must have completed training through Welle, CPI, or PMCS for onboarding and clearance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have own vehicle.
• Driver's License.
• Permanent address must be included in the profile and must match Driver License/State ID.
• Current Nursys must be uploaded with the profile.
• Work history, current skills checklist, and one supervisory signed reference from the past two years are required.
• Travelers from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties in New York will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub experience is preferred as an additional skill.
