Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Overview

• Temp assignment in Sault St. Marie, Michigan
• Evenings, 8 hours per day
• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Toshiba CT Scanner experience

Role Details

• Assists the radiologist and other physicians with computerized tomographic and radiographic images for diagnosis and treatment
• Provides general care to patients in the department
• Performs CT studies following protocol
• Administers IV and oral contrast according to protocols
• Monitors patients’ physical and mental condition throughout procedures
• Provides radiation protection using gonadal shielding and collimation where applicable
• Performs sterile procedures, obtains vital signs and pertinent clinical history, and is proficient in venous puncture
• Identifies allergic reactions or other urgent medical conditions and notifies and assists the radiologist
