Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Lakeport, California.
• Unit description: Preop/PACU RN providing direct patient care.
• Surgical services include orthopedic, general surgery, gyn, podiatry, pain, ophthalmology, and endoscopy.
• Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 6:45–17:15.
• Call required.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions.

Compliance / Pre-start Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start.
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start.
• FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and monthly after start.
• California Medi-Cal Search Result is required if FACIS III cannot be run monthly.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required annually.
• HHS/OIG required annually.
• NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start.
• State License 1 Verification required within 30 days of start.
• TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start and annually.
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required within 90 days of start, or positive responder documentation as specified.
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask test required within 1 year of start and annually.
• Drug screen required within 6 months of start.
• Color blind exam required before start.
• Respiratory safety clearance required before start.
• Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
• Work history verification must cover up to 7 years and explain gaps over 30 days.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required.
• Candidate must review/sign job description, standards of business conduct, general regulatory orientation, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, and Epic questionnaire prior to start.
• References are required by the agency process.

Additional Notes

• BLS is not required for 100% remote employees, but this role is not remote.
• Flu vaccination or approved declination is required during flu season.
