Imaging/CT Tech

Overview

• Location: Washington, Iowa

• Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5:30p-6:00am

• Contract length: 8 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Iowa
• CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (R.T.) or ARRT (C.T.)
• BLS
• Iowa Radiologic Technologist Permit to Practice
• Completion of a JRCERT-approved radiological training program or equivalent
• Radiology Technologist experience

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality x-ray and CT images as directed by the physician or radiologist
• Provide radiation protection measures
• Generate and complete exam orders using EMRs
• Perform, record, and analyze QC data
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, including equipment checks, cleaning the work area, and monitoring temperatures
• Transport patients
• Use PACS systems to release/transmit images
• Perform portable x-ray procedures as requested by Emergency Department and Nursing units
• Recommend process improvements and support department supply needs
• Work with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences
