Physical Therapy IP

Overview

• Travel assignment in Manchester, New Hampshire
• Inpatient Physical Therapy unit
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Shift start time is flexible between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with shifts ending between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM
• Weekend shifts are self-selected, with 1 weekend shift per month in addition to full-time hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New Hampshire
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Vestibular experience

Unit Details

• 330-bed hospital
• Typical patient load is about 10 patients per 8-hour day
• Basic rehab equipment is used, including portable parallel bars, portable stairs, Sara Stedy, ceiling lifts, and hyper lifts
• Documentation system: Sunrise Allscripts
• Procedures performed: evaluations and treatment

Float Scope

• Covers all inpatient units and the ED
• Does not cover NICU patients

Additional Notes

• Acute care experience is needed
• The unit sees higher volumes of cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic patients
• Daily patient assignments are designed to keep each therapist on 1-2 floors
• The team is described as dedicated and collaborative with experience in multiple settings
