RN - Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN role in the Emergency Dept at North Channel FSED.
- Unit has 22 beds.
- Patient ratio is 1:4.
- Hours per week: 36.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- ENPC
- NRP
Unit Details
- Staffed with day, mid, and night shifts.
- Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting.
- Equipment includes splinting supplies, defibrillator, Hamilton Vent, Welch Alyn, and bedside cardiac monitoring.
- EMR: Meditech Magic transitioning to Meditech Expanse 8/13.
Floating
- May float to Fairmont FSED if needed.
Schedule Notes
- Weekends as needed or every other, whichever is preferred.
- No on-call.
