Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Lakeport, California
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x10s, Monday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
• Call is required, with rotating after-hours and weekend call

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• CNOR
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred

Additional Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required
• HHS/OIG required
• FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly after start
• California Medi-Cal search required if FACIS III cannot be run monthly
• Sex Offender Search required within 90 days of start
• Official transcripts/diplomas may be accepted only if verification attempts are unsuccessful
• Education verification required for highest level achieved, unless highest education level is high school
• State license verification required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• Full 7 years of work history required in the application, with no gaps
• Employment history verification required for up to 7 years, with gaps over 30 days explained
• References are required by the staffing agency
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Fit test required within 1 year of start
• TB screening questionnaire required within 90 days of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 90 days of start
• Drug screen required within 6 months of start
• Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
• Color blindness exam required before start
• Respiratory safety clearance required before start
