Description
Echo Tech
Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Shift: Days
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Performs cardiac ultrasound evaluations.
- Communicates acute findings to a Cardiologist and routes studies for interpretation.
- Obtains pertinent patient health history before the examination.
- Prepares the procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures.
- Troubleshoots equipment problems and reports them to the appropriate supervisor.
- May perform staff training and education.
Required Qualifications
- Echo Technologist experience within the last year.
- 1 year of Echo Technologist experience.
- BLS.
- RDCS issued by ARDMS, or RCS issued by CCI, or ACS issued by CCI, or RCCS.
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program.
