Overview
- Travel assignment in Kansas City, Missouri
- 48 hours guaranteed

- 4 North Cardiac Telemetry
- Main Campus
- 29 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:4
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Experience reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips
- Experience with post cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements
- Experience administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
Unit Details
- Staffing includes Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs
- Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, and Imobile for communication between team members
- Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers, and Foley insertions
- Must work full time hours, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- Contract nurses may be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency
- Uses Meditech
