ICU RN
Overview
- Travel assignment in Kansas City, Missouri
- 48 hours guaranteed
- Start date: 11/30
- 48 hours per week
Unit Details
- ICU
- 32 beds
- Patient ratio: 2:1
- Unit secretary available 0730-0000
- Meditech documentation system
- MICU 16 beds / SICU 16 beds
Schedule
- 3 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend, or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period
Floating
- May float to NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry units (4 North and 4 Central), Progressive Care Unit (4 West), Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and other units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Trauma patient management
- IV administration of vasoactive medications
- Experience with ventilator management
- Experience with chest tube management
- Care of post-op surgical patients
- Cardiac rhythm identification and management
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring
- Care of stroke patient
- Experience with CRRT
- Experience with therapeutic hypothermia
Preferred
- TNCC
- ICU experience preferred
