Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Waterbury, Connecticut
- 12-hour nights, 19:00–07:30
- 36 or 48 hours accepted
- Every other weekend coverage
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Dark blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- CPI
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to perform patient triage
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
Preferred
- Previous charge experience

- Medication system: Accudose & Omnicell
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Communication system: SBAR

- Background check

- CT state exclusion list
- Photo for badge
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Rubeola, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID, and flu documentation/vaccination requirements
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Healthstream modules before HDD
- Pass/fail testing and competency exams as applicable
