Nursery RN

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Castro Valley, California
13-week assignment
Day shift: 7:00–19:00, with some 11:00–23:00 shifts depending on unit needs
36 hours per week
Occasional on-call
Float scope: MB/PP
Weekend coverage: every other weekend

Role Details

Nursery RN needed
Experience needed in a Level II or III NICU
Experience attending deliveries and neonatal resuscitation
Experience with Mother/baby couplet care

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Nursery experience with 2 years of experience
Nursery experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with NICU Level 2 or NICU Level 3 patients
Experience attending deliveries
Neonatal resuscitation experience
Mother/baby couplet care experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

NICU with Post Partum experience

Additional Notes

7-year background check required within 6 months of start
Unit-specific skills checklist required
Full 7 years of work history must be included in the application, with city and state and no gaps
