6N Overflow RN

Overview

• Registered Nurse role in Wheeling, West Virginia.
• 13-week contract.
• 12-hour night shifts.
• 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• NIHSS
• Must be within a 50-mile radius rule.
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license.
• Licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission.

Unit Details

• 30-bed unit.
• Typical ratio is 1:6/7; RN must be okay with up to 1:7.
• One charge RN on the floor with assignment.
• PCTs are on the unit.
• Telemetry is present and watched remotely by monitor techs.
• No vents; intermittent BIPAP.

Clinical Experience / Patient Population

• Common patient types include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cases, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI.
• RN may need to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results.

Scheduling / Float

• Weekends and holidays are scheduled as needed, usually about half of the total weekends.
• No standby or call requirement.
• Floating is as needed based on census, with external traveler first to float.
