Med Surg RN

Overview

13-week contract
Night shift, 7p-7a
36 hours per week
Local candidates accepted; local rate applies
50-mile radius rule

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS
Experience in a Critical Care setting
SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience
ED - Emergency Department experience

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
PALS
Charge experience
Supervisor experience

Clinical Details

Med surg with rare pediatric patient population
RN ratio is 7:1 and may go to 8, though that is rare
No on-call
Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, syncope, non-STEMI, DKA, wound issue, THR, TKR, lumbar surgery, general surgery, and COVID
EMR system used: Sorian
