PACU RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Day shifts: 3x12s, 9:00–21:30 or 11:00–23:30
  • First-timers accepted
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 100-mile radius
  • Pending license accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Minimum 3 years of ED experience
  • Experience with ventilators
  • Ability to care for hemodynamically unstable patients in phase I recovery
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Schedule / Work Expectations

  • Will work weekends as needed by department needs
  • No on-call requirement
  • Cannot accommodate a block schedule

Float Scope

  • May float to Pre-op, PACU, Phase II, and Helping Hands in the hospital

Additional Notes

  • Ratios: Days 1:2, Nights 1:2
  • RTO restriction: 5 days
  • Unit is PACU
  • Facility is a short term acute care hospital with 672 staffed beds
