Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular RN

Overview

  • Contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii
  • Unit: Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular
  • 13-week contract
  • Day shifts with varied times
  • 8 or 10 hour shifts
  • 40 hours per week
  • Required to take call, including holidays
  • Call schedule: 1–2 days per week, about every 2–3 weeks
  • 4-person call team
  • Labs: 2

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Hawaii
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Cardiac Cath Lab (2 years of experience)
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Basic knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures
  • Basic understanding of Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Ability to apply specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography procedures, cardiac cath procedures, pacemakers, and IABP insertion
  • Ability to apply specialized skills involved in hemodynamic monitoring
  • Basic understanding of radiology equipment and image processing

  • Documentation EMR: Meditech
  • Monitoring: Sensis
  • Equipment: Siemens

Scheduling Note

  • Must arrive the Thursday before start in order to attend employee health appointment on Friday
