Role Overview

• Travel RN in Obstetrics (Family Birth Center)
• Specialty: Obstetrics (LDRP with Level II Special Care Nursery)
• 2 openings
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Schedule

• 7:00 pm–7:30 am
• 3 shifts per week
• Weeknight shifts Sunday–Thursday
• Must be available for 3 of these holidays: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve Night, New Year’s Night
• Weekend shifts: two weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• Call: one weeknight call shift every 2 weeks and two weekend call shifts every 6 weeks
• Call response time: 1 hour or less

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Proficiency in vaginal exams
• Ability to perform patient triage
• Experience circulating for C-sections
• Experience with dilation and curettage (D&C)
• OR Circulate experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery experience
• Scrub/assist experience
• NICU skills

Unit Details

• 12 LDRP beds
• 2 triage rooms
• 2 OR suites
• 4-bed Special Care Nursery
• Patient types: antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum
• Level II OB and NICU

Float Scope

• May float as a helping hand or patient care tech to Med/Surg, Ortho, ICU, or ER depending on census

Certifications

• Certifications are listed as “see on-boarding list” in the source

Additional Notes

• Department supplies scrubs
• Locker supplied
• Must follow surgical scrub wear guidelines
• Secured unit with badge access
