MedSurg/Tele Float Pool RN
Overview
- Travel contract for an experienced MedSurg/Tele Float Pool nurse in San Bernardino, California.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours.
- Hours per week: 36.
Required Qualifications
- Active CA RN license.
- 2 full years of experience.
- BLS.
- ACLS.
- NIHSS.
- Must be able to read and interpret strips.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia course certification.
Unit Details
- Unit: MedSurg/Tele Float Pool.
- Tele requirement: must be able to read and interpret strips.
- Floating: may float to tele/read interpret strips.
- Common patient types: ESRD, DM, COPD, ETOH.
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Start date: 12/7 only.
- Orientation: only in December.
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
- Holidays: expected to work holidays.
- Charge nurse: yes, does not typically take patients.
- Nurse aides: yes, unless pulled for sitters.
- Scrub color: blue.
- Floor-specific orientation: 1 hour to show where things are; no full day of MS orientation, but a day of tele orientation.

- Hospitalist in house.
- RT 24/7.
- Pharmacy 24/7.
- IV team: none.
