RN Medical/Surgical
Overview
- Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
- Employment type: LTA
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Registered Nurse role providing care for patients in the Joint Center and Medical-Surgical units.
- Responsible for direct patient care, care coordination, and supervision of LPNs and support staff.
- Reports directly to the Nurse Manager/Director.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or CHSF
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or CHSF
Preferred Qualifications
- Orthopedic surgical care experience
Onboarding / Submission Requirements
- Resume including the past 7 years of work experience, with city and state for all work experience and education
- 2 references within the past 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor or above in the skillset
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet
- Background and compliance checks required for onboarding, including criminal background, Massachusetts CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks
- Education verification
- Beeline attestation
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form for initial assignments and extensions
Health and Immunization Requirements
- MMR documentation or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine
- TB test documentation
- Health statement signed by an MD, DO, NP, or PA
- Fit test
- Respirator medical clearance attestation if fit testing is required
- Positive PPD requires a negative chest X-ray
- TB symptom survey if positive PPD
Additional Notes
- Supervises LPNs and non-licensed personnel
- Coordinates care for patients in the Joint Center and Medical-Surgical units
