Role

ER RN for a 36-hour travel assignment.

44 beds / 3 trauma bays / 12 psych beds

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Pediatrics experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred

• ED experience
• PEDS experience
• Previous triage experience

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend and holiday requirements

Additional Details

• Level III Trauma, STEMI Receiving, and Stroke Center
• Fast Track available
• Separate triage area
• Hold and ER patients are mixed
• Average 145-150 patients per day
• Charge nurse takes an assignment
• PCA support
• RT only performs ABGs
• No monitor techs; RN must be competent to read strips
• X-ray and CT available in the ER
• RN and PCA draw labs unless patient is admitted
• No call or standby
• Floating not required
• Navy blue scrubs
• 2-day unit orientation
• Free parking if available in the lot across the street; metered street parking; garage parking is $70/month
