Emergency Department RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Long Beach, California
- Start date: ASAP
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
- 13-week contract
- Backfill opening
- Local candidates are allowed at the local rate if within 50 miles of the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- ED - Emergency Department (2.5 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience in a Large Hospital setting
- Weekend availability, per department needs
- RN license verification
- 2 professional references

- Competency exam
- Color blind testing
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- N95 fit mask within 1 year of start
- Tdap within the last 10 years
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start

- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer
- Drug screen within 1 year of start
- Flu vaccination or documentation for the 2026-27 season
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- State license verification
- NURSYS verification
- Pass/fail testing acknowledgement

- Large volume ER experience over 90,000 annual visits
