Travel Respiratory Therapist – Akron, OH
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12s

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel contract in Akron, OH. This role offers an opportunity to provide quality, patient-focused respiratory care in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport per physician orders and within scope of licensure
-
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
-
Administer physician-prescribed treatments using ventilators (invasive and non-invasive), nebulizers, aerosol, and oxygen devices
-
Perform suctioning, chest physiotherapy, oximetry, capnography, EKGs, and pulmonary function testing
-
Assist in procedures such as bronchoscopies, chest tube placements, and tracheostomy care
-
Perform arterial punctures, ventilation assessments, and lab-related procedures
-
Set up and operate ventilatory equipment; monitor and maintain mechanical ventilation

Document all care, assessments, and responses accurately and timely

Participate in shift-to-shift handoff communication

Follow hospital policies and procedures regarding patient and employee safety
Requirements:

Valid Respiratory Therapist license (OH)
-
BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Prior hospital experience preferred
-
Ability to work independently and manage high-acuity patients

Strong documentation and communication skills
