We’re seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Long-Term Acute Care facility in Obetz, OH. This role is ideal for RTs who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Position Summary:

The RT will provide intensive respiratory care, transport patients as prescribed, and function independently within the scope of their license. This role includes both invasive and non-invasive care, and involvement in clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and evaluate physician-prescribed respiratory treatments

• Operate ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer equipment

• Perform chest physiotherapy and various suctioning techniques

• Monitor patients using oximetry, capnography, and evaluate chest x-rays

• Conduct and interpret 12-Lead EKGs and pulmonary function studies

• Support procedures like bronchoscopies, chest tube placements, Perc Trachs

• Provide tracheostomy care and PleurX catheter drainage

• Draw and interpret arterial blood gases

• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation on various systems

• Maintain equipment and participate in preventative maintenance

• Communicate patient status and therapy effectiveness to care teams

• Ensure accurate documentation and charge entry

• Participate in shift hand-offs and interdisciplinary collaboration

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RT license

• BLS and ACLS certification

• 1+ year experience in acute or LTAC setting preferred

• Strong assessment, ventilation management, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to start ASAP
