Job Opportunity: Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)

Position Overview

Seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) to assist with invasive cardiac procedures in the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab. This role involves preparing the procedure room and sterile field, setting up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment, and functioning in multiple roles including scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor.

Work Schedule

• Full-time positions available
• Primarily day shifts with some late evening and on-call requirements
• 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and equipment for surgical procedures
• Anticipate and operate necessary equipment during procedures
• Perform roles as scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor during procedures

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
• Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever
• Mechanical Circulatory Support experience including ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo
• Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty
• Critical care or cardiac experience required
• Ability to function well in a team and strong organizational skills

Certifications and Licensure

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT (ARRT preferred)
• Must be a Radiologic Technologist (RCIS) or meet NYS Public Health Law 2824 requirements
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
