Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)
Location: Not specified
Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
Contract Length: Not specified
Qualifications:
- A.A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy
- NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum 2 years of clinical acute care experience required
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Duties:
- Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients
- Institute and monitor oxygen therapy
- Assist physicians with continuous ventilation management
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Perform pulmonary function tests
- Perform radial arterial punctures
- Able to perform majority of patient care functions in acute care with minimal orientation and supervision
Preferences:
- Candidates located outside a 100-mile radius preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Cannot accommodate block scheduling
- Will not accept travelers seeking to work two assignments simultaneously
Experience:
- Experience in the field is required
