Travel NICU RN – Nights – Massachusetts
Start Date: 1/5/26
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3×12s, 36 hours/week)
Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend & every other holiday
On-Call: None
Float Requirement: Must float to Postpartum and Mother/Baby as needed
Job Summary
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Massachusetts. The RN will provide comprehensive care to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level II nursery environment. This role requires experience attending deliveries and the ability to support postpartum care when needed. Nursing care is delivered according to the organization’s professional standards, regulatory guidelines, and unit protocols.
Responsibilities

Provide age-appropriate, comprehensive nursing care to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level II nursery

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Manage and supervise nursing practice, delegating tasks to assistive personnel within scope

Document all assessments, interventions, and evaluations per hospital policy

Participate in unit and hospital initiatives to improve patient care

Deliver patient and family education as appropriate

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support care goals

Attend mandatory in-services, maintain competencies, and follow safety protocols

Serve as a resource and mentor to peers; may provide preceptorship when needed

Provide support/coverage for Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery units as required
Requirements
-
2+ years NICU or neonatal special-care experience preferred

Must have experience attending deliveries

Massachusetts RN license (active)
-
BLS – Healthcare Provider (required)

NRP (required)
-
Strong critical thinking, neonatal assessment skills, and ability to work independently

Experience in postpartum or L&D support a plus
