Description

Travel Respiratory Therapist – Syracuse, NY

Assignment Start: 12/29
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend required, including holidays (based on weekend schedule)

Preferences: Pediatric experience

Qualifications:

  • A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy

  • NYS License/Registration as a Respiratory Therapist

  • Minimum 2 years of post-A.A.S. clinical acute care experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Duties:

  • Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy

  • Institute and monitor oxygen therapy

  • Assist physicians with continuous ventilation management

  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

  • Perform pulmonary function tests and radial arterial punctures

  • Able to perform the majority of acute care patient functions with minimal orientation and supervision
