Travel Registered Nurse – Med-Surg (Acute GI Medical Unit) – Cumming, GA

Assignment Start: 01/19/26
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | 3 × 12-Hour Day Shifts
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
On-Call: None

Unit: Acute GI Medical / Med-Surg Unit

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience within specialty

Licensure & Certifications:

BLS required
ACLS preferred

Unit Overview:
The Fifth Floor Gastrointestinal (GI)/COVID Medical-Surgical Unit at Northside Hospital Forsyth is a 34-bed acute care unit serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. All rooms are private and equipped with telemetry capabilities. The unit manages a variety of GI and medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Holiday Requirements (Winter):

Must work 1 Major Holiday:
Christmas Day or New Year’s Day

AND 1 Minor Holiday:

Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve

Position Overview:
The Med-Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care using evidence-based practice, performs ongoing assessments, administers medications, monitors telemetry, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
