Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Med/Surg

Assignment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights
Units: Adult Medical/Surgical
Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend and some holidays required

Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced night-shift travel RNs for adult Med/Surg units. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in fast-paced acute care environments and able to function independently with minimal orientation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients

• Start peripheral IVs and draw laboratory specimens

• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry

• Perform accurate nursing assessments and respond to changes in patient condition

• Deliver patient care with minimal supervision in an acute care setting

• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams

Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license

• BLS certification (must be able to be re-certified)

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers

• Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred

• EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
