Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Pediatrics (Biobehavioral Health)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 2/27/2026
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts
Specialty: Inpatient Pediatrics – Biobehavioral Health Unit
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Pediatric RNs for a Biobehavioral Health Unit within an inpatient pediatric setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment and may float to other pediatric units as needed.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a biobehavioral health setting

Perform accurate assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
-
Deliver patient care with minimal orientation and supervision in an acute care environment

Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
-
Float to other pediatric units as assigned
Schedule Requirements:

Every other weekend required
-
Some holidays required
Qualifications:
-
Current New York State RN license
-
BLS certification (must be able to be re-certified)
-
Minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a similar-size facility

Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health and Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers
-
Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
-
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
