Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Job Description

• Complete all required paperwork and requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner.
• Schedule all exams promptly.
• Perform diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients both in the department and with portable equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to inject IV contrast media as needed.
• Perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols as directed by the Radiologist.
• Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to accurately diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions related to equipment or procedures.
• Properly move and transport patients to and from the department as required.
• Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
• Treat all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and friendliness regardless of cultural/ethnic background, gender, orientation, or age.
• Attend required in-services and orientations.
• Work closely with floor staff to build positive relationships and facilitate excellent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

• Responsible for prepping patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining scans, positioning patients to capture appropriate images, and operating equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue.
• No on-call required.
• Start date range: December 1 to December 8.

• 13 weeks

Required Skills and Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CT Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Medical Imaging field (excluding schooling)
• Experience operating Philips equipment
