Neurological Unit Nursing Opportunity

Job Overview

• Work on a specialized neurological unit caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and other neurological diseases.
• Fast-paced environment with an interdisciplinary team.
• Unit is a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region.
• Utilize state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nursing skills, talents, and compassion.

Requirements

• Specialty: Telemetry experience required.
• License: Registered Nurse (RN) with a New York state license only.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association only) required.
  • NIHSS certification highly preferred.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit needs.
• Contract Length: 17 weeks (as indicated by the commitment dates).
• Start Date Commitment: Must be able to start by September 15.
