Occupational Therapist Travel Job Overview

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Deliver superior quality care while embodying core company values such as respect, teamwork, and resourcefulness.
• Prioritize patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, materials handling, infectious disease precautions, and fall prevention.
• Assess patients’ level of functioning based on physician orders and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Complete all required documentation timely and accurately, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), OT and COTA students, and assist with new staff orientation.
• Maintain a customer service attitude toward patients, visitors, and staff.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling and participate in team conferences.
• Demonstrate good safety techniques and observe patient confidentiality.
• Manage time efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid, current State Occupational Therapist license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation or Neurology settings is required.
