Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Opportunity

Job Overview

• Deliver superior quality nursing care following established nursing care plans.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees.
• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide timely patient status updates during team conferences.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and safety.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as requested.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and manage time and staff effectively to meet patient needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• Ability to supervise and delegate to nursing support staff.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety, including adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Hours

• 36-hour assignment

Safety Focus

• Emphasis on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling, materials handling, infection control, and prevention of slips, trips, and falls.
