Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist
Location
- Tucson, AZ (Split schedule across two hospital locations)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Split schedule:
- Tucson East: Monday, Thursday
- Banner Tucson: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Days off: Tuesday and Wednesday
Job Description
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
- Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
- Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers.
- Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing, patient/family training, and planning for continuing services.
- Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently.
- Complete clear, concise, and timely medical documentation including daily notes, goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry.
- Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
- Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
- Develop and pursue individualized professional development plans.
- Engage in patient and professional advocacy activities.
- Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and complete continuing education.
- Follow organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback.
Requirements
- Valid, current State Physical Therapist license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Must understand and accept the split schedule across both Tucson hospitals.

This position is suitable for Physical Therapists with at least 2 years of experience who are comfortable with a split schedule and committed to high standards of patient care and safety.
