Contract Length

Schedule

• Split schedule:

  • Tucson East: Monday, Thursday
  • Banner Tucson: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Days off: Tuesday and Wednesday

Job Description

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
• Educate patients, families, students, and coworkers.
• Perform professional duties related to patient care, therapy service development, and program delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing, patient/family training, and planning for continuing services.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently.
• Complete clear, concise, and timely medical documentation including daily notes, goal writing, quality assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry.
• Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
• Develop and pursue individualized professional development plans.
• Engage in patient and professional advocacy activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts, maintain licensure, and complete continuing education.
• Follow organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback.

Requirements

• Valid, current State Physical Therapist license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Must understand and accept the split schedule across both Tucson hospitals.
