Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients using both department and portable equipment.
• Inject IV contrast media as needed.
• Conduct a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols as directed by the Radiologist.
• Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to diagnose issues with radiographic machines and processors.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions related to equipment or the procedure.
• Properly move and transport patients to and from the department as required.
• Complete all required paperwork and requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner.
• Schedule all exams promptly.
• Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.
• Treat all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and respect regardless of cultural/ethnic background, gender, orientation, or age.
• Attend required in-services and orientations.
• Collaborate closely with floor staff to facilitate excellent patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

• 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.

Required Certifications and Skills

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• CT Certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Medical Imaging field (excluding schooling).

Prior Travel Experience
