Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - Cardiac Cath/EP Lab

Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) assists with invasive cardiac procedures in the Cath/EP Lab. Responsibilities include preparing the procedure room and sterile field, setting up sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment, anticipating equipment needs during procedures, operating equipment, and maintaining sterile instruments. The technologist will function in multiple roles such as scrub, circulator, and documenter/monitor.

Work Schedule

• Full-time
• Primarily day shifts with some late evening shifts
• On-call requirements
• 10-hour shifts

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
• Experience with Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever
• Mechanical Circulatory Support experience required: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo
• Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty
• Critical care or cardiac experience required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT (preference for ARRT)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• Must meet NYS requirements to be grandfathered into Public Health Law 2824 or be a Radiologic Technologist (RCIS)

Additional Requirements

• Fully completed COVID-19 vaccination series
